Halloween

We had lots of fun this Halloween. We started out the week by carving some pumpkins on Monday. Madelyn was her typical dig in and get dirty self. She loves to dig right in and help clean the pumpkins out. Andrew on the other hand, refused to use his hand to touch the "yucky" pumpkin seeds. Andrew was much more involved in the carving part of the night. He took his time, studying the pumpkin from different angles and asked, "hmm, what do we need here?" He always takes his time and puts a lot of thought into his projects. The truth is Daddy did all the work, turns out he is a much better pumpkin carver than Mommy.
Later in the week we decided to see if Mommy could handle making sugar cookies, it was a first and it turned out. Madelyn and Andrew loved helping roll and cut the cookies out.
On Halloween we went trick-or-treating with the kids cousins. At first they were more interested in playing than in getting in their costumes to go trick-or-treating and they refused to cooperate for a good picture. However, once they figured out that they got candy at all the houses they were pretty excited. Madelyn's bucket got so heavy she could hardly carry it and Daddy ended up carrying her and the bucket before we where done. Andrew loved running around with his cousins, unfortunatly we didn't get any picture with all the kids together, but we had a lot of fun.
